It happens many times when you want to switch to a different computer altogether, or you want to format the existing OS installation, and if you are a blogger and you use Windows Live Writer as your offline blogging platform, then you have to manually backup all the posts and settings and that is pretty cumbersome. To reduce this extra work you can use this software, Windows Live Writer Backup. As the name says, this software will backup all the data related to the Windows Live Writer whether it be blog settings, draft posts, recents posts etc. A single backup file is generated that can be saved on a flash drive and when you like you can restore that backup using Windows Live Writer Backup software. It is as simple as that. The software can also be used from the command line tool but it is for advanced users only. It works very well under Windows XP but in Windows Vista administrator access is required. It is an essential software to have as it is pretty helpful and easy to use. I would recommend it to all bloggers out there.
